The video below captures the opening portion of an event organized by Independent Variable Consulting, in partnership with the District Attorney’s Office of Philadelphia to present the key findings of our joint report, Overlooked or Overscrutinized? A Case Study of Girl’s Justice in Philadelphia and Implications for the Design of a Fairer System.
In addition to the filmed portion of the event (featured below) in which we helped to present the key findings of the report, the second portion of the event featured solutions-focused breakout groups with representatives from more than two dozen government and non-profit organizations collaborating to answer the question: “How might we collaborate to design a fairer justice system for girls by the end of this fiscal year?”
In the following months, collaborative work will continue with key stakeholders and community groups to turn the ideas generated into actionable solutions focused on each of the four main areas for improvement highlighted by the report.
